DS Downloads - It's Not Difficult

By Dana Goldberg

Get interactive with fellow video gamers with DS downloads. Nintendo of America has come to the rescue for all gamers by creating DS Downloads, compatible with Nintendo DS products, a player can connect to another player with one game card. Insert the game card into your DS console and select the multi-player option on the game menu, the other player then downloads the Download Play Application which searches and connects to the first DS Console. Do note, you must download DS in order for the connection to work; it is not enough just to select the multi-player option on the game's menu.

You will need an R4 card to put into your DS Console. These are sold at many online websites. These little supercards include the R4 card, a micro sd card, and a flash drive. Using the flash drive you can take the games from your computer and put them onto a micro sd card.

All of these items fit into each other; the micro SD card with all of the downloaded games will go into the R4 card which then goes into the DS console. Roughly 15-20 games fit on each card, saving you hundreds of dollars. Once you get the card, you never have to buy a DS game again.

After downloading games to Micro SD, you are required to transfer those to your R4 card. As step one, connect flash drive to your PC through USB port and , insert Micro SD card in flash drive. Once this is done on your screen there will be pop-up saying Removable Disk (E) & click View Folder.

Go to the file where you saved your games on find the files that have an nds ending. Move them to your flash drive and put them in the Game Folder. After doing this, just eject the disc and put it into your DS game console.

By 5th August, 2009 Nintendo has made over 900 DS Download games that are available to you, so don't hesitate and start downloading!
